What is the Associated Student Ventura College (ASVC) Board?
Student participation in the college is in two major areas: shared governance and college activities. Within each, a wide spectrum of experience is available to students. All students at Ventura College are encouraged to participate in campus shared governance through the ASVC Board. The Board plays an important role in the decision making process of the college while assuming major responsibility for coordinating student activities and expressing student concerns and interests to the college. Student governance meetings are held on Tuesday, generally at 12:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Conference room. Students have the opportunity and are encouraged to participate as members of the college's advisory committees, councils and boards. Student elections are held during each Spring Semester or students are selected by the ASVC Board.
