Application Process
Students with disabilities may complete the entire enrollment process for Ventura College in the Educational Assistance Center (EAC). The intake process is as follows:
-
Call the Educational Assistance Center for an appointment with a counselor. The phone number is (805) 654-6300.
-
On the day of your appointment, please bring:
-
Your Social Security number.
-
Medical or professional verification of your disability, if available. If not available, please bring the name, address, phone number and FAX number of the doctor or professional who can verify your disability.
-
If you need a parking permit, bring the license number of the vehicle you will be driving to campus.
-
-
The counselor will help you fill out the college application, the EAC application, and other college paperwork.
-
The counselor can also help you plan a Student Education Contract and will determine with you what accommodations you will need because of your disability.
-
You may then register for your classes at the EAC.
-
There are no fees for any of our services. However, students are expected to pay registration, tuition, and other regular college fees. Information about Financial Aid is available from EAC Counselors and from the Ventura College Financial Aid Office.
-
Please be prepared to pay your fees at the time of enrollment with cash, check or major credit card. See the Ventura College Fee Schedule. (Your fees must be paid within 7 days after you register or you will be dropped from your classes.)
